Have You Lost Your Way?

I hope that you don’t mind a repeat from April 2019. I seemed to need it.

Have you ever felt like you’ve lost your way? At sometime, somehow – did things start moving in a direction that is far off the course you wanted for your life. It may be that you got a job in a different field than you planned. It may be that you unexpectedly lost a loved one through divorce or death or it may be that sickness has caused you to alter your path. There are many reasons as to why you may wake up one day and wonder how in the world did I get here? But – what can we do about it?

What should you do if you find that you’re unhappy with the path your life is on? First and foremost – go to your heavenly Father in prayer. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said in Matthew 7:7, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find; knock, and the door will be opened unto you.” He will hear, if you will ask. If you feel far from God – guess who moved? Yep – it’s you!

If you’re feeling lost, don’t be one of “those” people who refuses to ask for directions! God’s Word will guide you, if you take the time to read the Bible. Yes, you must read the directions!

If you still feel that you are not “who you want to be,” remember yesterday’s post on “Only YOU can change “impossible” to I’M POSSIBLE!” There are some things, such as death or sickness, that you cannot change, but look around – see what things YOU might could change that would make a difference? Do you need to get your finances in order and pay off debt? Do you need to go back to school to prepare for a different career? Do you need to start looking for a new job? Is it time to make some new friends? Do you need to forgive someone and move on?

Remember – you’re not alone! “For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10) Isn’t the Lord wonderful! God Bless, Courtney
