But I’m sooooo busy!

In I Kings 20: 49-40, we find the account of the prophet telling King Benhadad that during the battle, he was given the duty to guard a prisoner, but “as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone.”  What was he busy doing?  He might have been busy helping others.  He might have been busy taking care of personal needs.  Who knows?  The thing is – it doesn’t matter.  He failed to do the one task that was assigned to him.

We often get so caught up with work, ballgames, and even church activities and become so “busy here and there” that we forget our main task on this earth – to learn God’s Word, to obey His commands, teach others, and to live in such a way that heaven will one day be our home. Have you gotten too busy?  Using the weekly scripture writing schedule will take less than an hour for the whole week.  It requires nothing more than your Bible, a notebook (I use a regular college-ruled spiral.), and a pen.  It will give you the opportunity to learn God’s Word and memorize key scriptures that can help you “go into all the world …… and teach all nations to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20).

Do you have time to study God’s Word today?  Are you willing to take the time to study His Word?  I hope so.  God Bless, Courtney
