I’ve had some discussions on Facebook as to how to become a “follower” of my blog. “What is a ‘follower?'”, you might ask. A follower will get an email whenever a new blog, recipe, etc…. is published. To become a follower, scroll down to the very bottom of any page and click the “FOLLOW” button. It will ask you for your email address (so they can send you notices). I certainly understand if you don’t give out your email address. It’s okay – my feelings aren’t hurt! It is only used for that purpose.
It’s also one of those things that “they” (whoever “they” are) keep stats on. It’s really cool because on the “Stats” page, I can see how many “visitors” got on my blog that day and how many different pages they “viewed.” It counts if anyone has “liked” an entry. It doesn’t show who the viewers are, so unless you comment or “like” something, I don’t know if you’ve been on or not, but it does show the countries that the visitors are from. I find it fascinating to think that someone in India, Ireland, Canada and Bangladesh (I’ll be honest – I had to look on a map for that one!) have found my blog.
I am really enjoying having a blog, and I hope that it is giving you a little joy – something to smile about and something to think about every day. My sister said, “I don’t know how you come up with something new to write about every day.” My response, “Me, neither!” As of this morning, I’ve had 327 visitors with 1372 views – HOW COOL IS THAT??? If you have any “words of wisdom”, recipes, etc…. to share with me, I’d love to have feedback. I am honestly not “fishing” for compliments – I would sincerely like to know if this blog is an avenue that I should continue. I would also like to know if you’re using the weekly Writing Schedules. Any comments would be appreciated.
