I guess that we’ve all heard the commercial that declares, “The best part of waking up…is Folgers in your cup!” Coffee, coffee, coffee – how I do love waking up to the smell of fresh coffee! But for me, coffee was something that I had to “learn to love.” It smells better than it tastes – unless you start adding goodies.
When I was a young wife of nineteen, a group of student preacher’s wives would go out for coffee after our weekly class. Of course, I didn’t want to be the ONLY one not drinking coffee, so I caved in to peer pressure and decided it was time to “learn to love it!” Well, I didn’t love it – yet, but I discovered that with Sweet-n-Low and lots of creamer in it, it was tolerable. So, for the next ten years – I LIKED coffee.
Then, lo and behold, I discovered flavored coffee creamers! That was my downfall – I LOVE coffee! White Chocolate Raspberry is my all time FAVORITE! So now, everywhere we went, I bought a coffee mug! I can drink from Egypt, Israel, Greece, Russia, Roatan, and Cozumel! I can remember the Grand Ole Opry, Mount Rushmore, the Smoky Mountains, and the one place, you could never forget (at least, I can’t!) – the Fur Trapper’s Museum in Chadron, Nebraska! I’ve been there! I’ve got the mug to prove it!

Yes, I am now an honest coffee-aholic! I’ve got one coffee maker that’s set to come on by itself every morning, and I’ve got a Keurig for those times when I just want one cup. In fact, my kitchen is decorated with coffee décor! See – I’m not kidding!

So, if you come to my house and spend the night, you can be sure that there will be coffee in the morning – or noon – or night! As this sign says:

Who could resist that? God Bless, Courtney
