“SNAKE STRETCHING”

I don’t know about you, but I RARELY (if ever) get up the first time my alarm goes off in the morning.  I happen to be a lover of the “snooze” button.  The first time it goes off, I roll over and think, “Hmm. . .gotta get up soon,” and I roll over.  The second time it goes off, I realize that I’ve only got a few more minutes and then, I’ll HAVE to get up.  Some time during that nine minutes, I do what I call my “snake stretching.”  You know, it’s when you start at your toes and wiggle all the way up, stretching and adjusting to see if everything is still movable!  I’ll tense up and slowly let it out, and, well – do the “snake stretch!”

I’ve come to realize that I don’t just need to stretch my muscles every morning, I’ve got a lot of things that need stretching and adjusting. I need to work on my attitude – don’t we all? When things seem to be dreary, I need to remember Who is in control and strive to be positive. He’s got this!

I also need to stretch my imagination. We limit ourselves by not trying to “think outside the box.” Just because that’s the way we’ve always done it, doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t try something different. I never dreamed that I would be a “blogger,” but I LOVE IT! You never know……

I could go on and on…..Let’s just say that there are MANY, MANY things that I need to stretch and adjust. How about you? Think of me tomorrow morning when your alarm goes off – bet you’ll do the “snake stretch!” God Bless, Courtney
