Do you ever struggle with depression? I think all of us probably do at one time or another. We shouldn’t be ashamed of being – well, normal! But we tend to try and hide it. We may be depressed because some big event that we’ve been looking forward to for a long time is now over. It may be because of sickness – it’s hard to stay positive when you don’t feel good for an extended period of time. Has the flu bug hit your house? It might be because you’ve suffered a loss – the passing of a loved one, the loss of a job, or the loss of a dream. Life doesn’t always turn out like we think that it will. Many believe that once they become a Christian, everything will be “rosy.” But, we are still living in this world, and circumstances beyond our control happen. We cannot control the feelings or actions of others – we can only take care of ourselves. When these times come, we must realize that this is when “we know not what the future holds, but we know Who holds the future!” What a comfort! We can all sleep well tonight. Turn it over to God – He’s going to be up all night anyway! God Bless, Courtney
