This is one of my Mother’s favorite recipes. She calls them “glorified” because they’re “good enough to go to heaven!”
Empty two large 28 oz. cans green beans (drained) into crockpot. Add 1 small chopped onion. Stir. In a skillet, fry 6-8 strips of bacon until crisp. Remove from skillet and drain on paper towel.
To the bacon drippings, add 1/3 cup vinegar and 1/3 cup sugar. Pour over beans/onion mix and stir. Crumble bacon on top and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
