Guess what, folks? You can teach an old dog new tricks! I consider myself to be pretty “set in my ways,” but I am learning something new every day! Sometimes, we’re only limited – by ourselves! I love seeing 80 year olds on the computer- learning something new! Technology has advanced so much in the past few years. Are you taking advantage of it? I heard one person say, “I don’t want a ‘smart phone’ – I just want a ‘dumb phone!'” But, think of the texts and pictures that they miss seeing! It’s time to go for it!!
In my new job, I’m having the opportunity to learn lots of new things! It can be overwhelming at times, but I love it! I like learning new things, discovering what the problems may be, and trying to figure out how the process may be improved.
I always heard that when you “Stop – You Drop!” When you are injured and stop using your hand, it usually takes physical therapy to get full usage back. It’s the same way with your brain. If you don’t continue to use it, you’ll lose it! I don’t know about you, but I need to keep all the brain cells I’ve got! So, every night when I get in bed, I’m going to think of at least one fact or one new thing that I learned that day! We can’t just give up. The Lord expects us to “be faithful until death (Rev. 2:10). We will never come to a time when we can say that we know everything about the Bible! So, how about it “fellow dogs,” – what new trick or idea did you learn today? God bless, Courtney
