Digging. . .

Have you ever worked on balancing your checkbook, but it just doesn’t add up? You add it in your head. You add it out on paper. You use a calculator. You try an adding machine. Sometimes, it takes a while to “dig out” and “find” what you’re looking for! I’ve been working for HOURS today at work on a similar situation. I just keep looking and looking for clues as to where the “lost” info is. (I’m sure it’s not LOST! I’m just new to the job and clueless!) But, I’m determined to keep digging until I figure it all out!

I believe that in today’s society, many want everything fast and “spoon fed” to us. There are very few, who are taking the time and trouble to “dig” into the word of God to actually see what He wants us to do. They take the opinions of others. Too many are “satisfied” with “milk diets” and don’t even care about digging into the “meat” of God’s word (Hebrews 5:12). Are we too busy being busy that we don’t have “time” to study God’s word? After you study it, do you think about it? May you be like the one in Psalm 1:2 – “But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law doth he meditate both day and night.” Let’s get digging! God Bless, Courtney
