I’ve been thinking about one of my favorite sayings today. It is: Do what’s right, and God will do what’s left! Isn’t that great? We each have a part to do.
First comes our part – we have to do what’s right. How do we know what is right? That comes back to yesterday’s post about “digging” a little deeper into God’s Word. We must be willing to find out His will. Psalm 33:4 says, “For the Word of the Lord is right, and all His works are done in truth.” His Word is a lamp that lights our path, in this darkened world (Psalm 119:105) If we let it, the Bible will show us what is right. Psalm 119:172 says, “My tongue shall speak of thy Word; for all thy commandments are Righteous.” And if we do what’s right. . .
Then, God will do what’s left! He’ll take care of us. In Matthew 6:31-33 as part of the sermon on the mount, Jesus encouraged His followers to “Therefore, take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or Wherewithal shall we be clothed? For after all these things do the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” He will provide for our needs, if we put Him FIRST!
What an amazing God we serve! Remember – you’ve got to just take care of your part and let God take care of the rest! He doesn’t need your help! God Bless, Courtney
