For a couple of days this week, I’ve been writing about change. From “To Improve You Must Change, But Not All Change Is an Improvement” to “Can a Leopard Change His Spots?” But today I got to thinking how sometimes the most important thing we can change is our attitude!
Our attitude towards something that needs to get done makes all the difference in the world as to how successful we are in that endeavor. It’s up to us – are we going to complain all the time making us and everyone around us miserable? Will complaining make a difference? Oh, it WILL make a difference, but is it a positive one or are you bringing shame on the name Christian?
Steve is fond of saying that most people are about as happy as they want to be. When someone greets you and asks, “How are you doing?” Would your reply be considered positive or negative? Does your attitude need adjusting?
No matter what situation you’re in, you’re probably not any worse off than Paul was in a Roman prison, chained to guards, yet in Phil. 4:4, he was able to say, “Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice!” Now that’s a good attitude! God Bless, Courtney
