Spring has finally sprung and the trees and bushes in Southeast Missouri are BEAUTIFUL! I love it when the redbud trees and forsythia bushes bloom. You can’t help but smile when you see the blue sky, green grass, and flowers blooming. Of course, the wild onions and dandelions are also popping up in the yard. Guess, we’ll be cranking up the lawn mower soon.
I also love this time of year because you don’t have to have the heat on, and you don’t quite need the air conditioner yet. I can open the windows, but oh, how nice it would be to have a squeaky screen door. Screened to let the breeze in – and squeaky, so you’ll know if anything or anyone else comes for an unexpected visit!
Our world sure is a beautiful place. God made the dry land and seas on the third day of creation. Genesis 1:12 -13 says, “And the earth brought forth grass, and the herb yielding seed after his kind, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, after his kind, and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day.” The physical world which we are enjoying so much right now was created in ONE DAY.
Fast forward to John 14:2-3, Jesus said, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go, and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.” Just think – if God can make all of this earthly beauty in one day, can you imagine how beautiful heaven will be? And the best part – we’ll be there with God! Yes, I’m looking forward to that mansion! I hope yours is next to mine! God Bless, Courtney
