For the first time in YEARS, I had the opportunity to go outside and “dig in the dirt” this morning! Last year, Steve decided that our bushes in the front flower beds were entirely too large – so – he cut them back. Okay – that’s his story. He actually cut them back so far that several of them died. So, I have decided to completely clean out the flower bed and plant flowers! Isn’t that a great idea?
But first – I have to dig out those bushes. And – rake up and shovel the gravel that we put down years ago as a ground cover. Today was such a beautiful day to be outside. There’s something rewarding about digging in the dirt. I found so many worms, it made me think about fishing, but that’s for another day!
I’m going to oh so sore tonight. I used muscles that have been on vacation for a while, but it’s a good kind of sore. Its the sore that tells me I’ve worked hard today. That’s very rewarding. I bet that I won’t have a hard time going to sleep tonight. Ecclesiastes 5; 12 says, “The sleep of a laboring man is sweet…” God is good. God Bless, Courtney
