Would you rather be pretty made up or made up pretty? Think about it. Some people are so concerned with being pretty made up. Thousands of dollars each year are spent by folks trying to look younger and prettier. Think about the money spent wrinkle remover, moisturizer, and hair dye! We spend an hour or so on grooming and “fixin'” our faces before we leave the house. We should take care of our bodies and there is nothing wrong with spending time making ourselves to be as pretty as possible. But even talent, good looks and ability doesn’t make one noble and beautiful. True beauty comes from the heart.
How much more important is it that we be “made up pretty!” Are you made up of honesty, loyalty, and kindness? Are you forgiving, courageous, and respectful? Someone who is made up pretty will inspire confidence in others. They will seek those things which are good, investing in the lives of others. They will be patient and exhibit self-control. Real beauty comes from within. Some people may not be that attractive physically, but they become beautiful once you know them – their beauty comes from within. Beauty is definitely not skin-deep. Peter said in I Peter 3:4, “But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious.”
I pray that you are made up pretty from within. God Bless, Courtney
