When you know that you’ve got a trip coming up – you make plans to get ready. There is so much to do! You have to wash clothes, pack, and gather everything that you might possibly need. You map out the way, so that you won’t get side-tracked or lost. You usually tell your friends and family that you’ll be gone and how to reach you. You are so excited!
You know what? We’re all just traveling through this life to get to our final destination – heaven. Have your “robes been washed in the blood of the Lamb?” (Rev. 7:14) Have you been baptized? Are you following the “map” or guide that will get you to the desired destination? That guide is the Word of God. Do you study the Bible to find out how God wants to be worshiped and what you much do to become a child of His? Have you told your friends and family the “good news?” Are you so excited that you can’t help but tell everyone that you’re a Christian, and you’re on your way to heaven, encouraging them to also “. . .obey from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.” (Romans 6:17)
Traveling isn’t always easy. Sometimes, the road is bumpy and long, but if we persist, we will reach our final destination. May you be “faithful unto death, and be given a crown of life.” (Rev. 2:10) God Bless, Courtney
