Yesterday, I had the honor and privilege of attending my daughter’s wedding. What a priceless experience! She was, of course, a beautiful bride who was escorted down the aisle by Aiden, my five year old grandson. When the minister asked him, “Who gives this woman in marriage?” He yelled out, “ME!” It was so sweet. A new family was born yesterday, David, Dianne, and Aiden. God bless them!

I guess what touched me the most was when David came over to show us his wedding band. Inside, was inscribed a motto that Steve and I have said all of our married lives – “Love all ways, always.” They said that they wanted a marriage like ours. You know, you hope and pray that you are being the right kind of example for your children as they are growing up. We am so humbled that they hold our marriage up as “ideal” of what they want their marriage to be.
God instituted marriage in the Garden of Eden when he presented Adam with his lovely bride, Eve. He had a plan for marriage because He saw that it was not good for man to be alone. He made Eve as a “helpmeet” for him. Proverbs 18:22 says, “He who findeth a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.” We’ve been married over 38 years now, and we still sign every card or note that we give to each other, “Love all ways, always.”
You know – that’s how God loves us. He loves us when we are faithful. He loves us when we make mistakes. He loves us in sickness and in health. He loves us when we are sad and lonely, and He loves us when we are happy. He is always there for us. May we never forget that that’s how God loves us – “All ways, always!” God Bless, Courtney
