Come Home

Every time I go on vacation, “home” is a little sweeter when I get back. Going on a trip is exciting – you get to see new things, relive old memories, and experience new adventures, but there’s nothing like coming home! Home is where your “stuff” is. Home is where your bed and your pillow are. Home is where you can relax. Home is where you are loved by all.

Some people may “grow up” in the church or they may have become a Christian as an adult, but for some reason or another, they let the world sweep them away from the truth. It might have been the influence of education. It might have been because they chose worldly friends. It may have been that they were rebelling and thought that they knew better than others. No matter how or why it happened, they are drifting from place to place trying to find “home.” They may have even convinced themselves to some degree that they are happy with their present life and they don’t need the church or their church family. But something is missing, and deep down – they know it!

There is nothing like the peace of mind and the reception waiting for them when they finally come “home.” Thousands of prayers have been said on their behalf. “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” (Luke 15:10) Yes, even the angels will rejoice on that great day! Are you wondering why you feel “unsettled?” True peace only comes from following God’s Word. Come home! God Bless, Courtney
