Charles Dederich is credited for saying, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” I like that quote. It’s so true. Whether you’re starting a new marriage, a new job, or just a new week, it can be the beginning of something wonderful! We can put the past behind us – we can’t change it, but we can learn from it and move forward. No matter what you have done in the past, through the blood of Jesus Christ, it can be forgiven. We all have a chance to start anew. Have you thought about how wonderful that is?
In Philippians 3:13-14, Paul said, “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Folks, there are better things ahead. Don’t get bogged down by what could have happened or what we think “should” have happened. Today is a new day. Enjoy the present – that’s what it is, you know – it’s a “present” from God. Praise Him, thank Him, and live for Him today! God Bless, Courtney
