Have you ever made a wrong turn and ended up, well, not quite where you thought you’d be? It may be that you didn’t see the sign. You might not have had accurate directions. It may even be that you were daydreaming and not paying attention to your surroundings. It’s happened to all of us at one time or another. The problem comes when we don’t catch the mistake and continue in the wrong direction – we’ll never get to where we want to go.
Often, folks make a “bad” decision in life, and they end up on a path that is unknown to them. They might not even be able to pinpoint the moment when they started going in the wrong direction, but, life certainly isn’t working out the way they thought it would. Because we are able to make choices, we also must endure the consequences of the choices that we make. While, we may take a wrong turn and end up in the wrong town, it doesn’t mean that we have to move in and unpack there. God does allow “U-turns.” We must “examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? ( II Corinthians 13:5) Test yourself to see how sincere your faith is. Are you truly striving to live the Christian life? Ephesians 3:16-19 says, “That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” God wants you to have a full and happy life.
Thank you, Lord, for giving us the opportunity to repent and turn back to Thee. Help us to follow Thy directions, so that one day, heaven will be our home. In Jesus Name, Amen. God Bless, Courtney
