What do you think of when you hear the term “frequent flyer?” If you’re in the airline business, it should make you very happy. Any business that depends on “repeat customers” would probably smile at the phrase. Hotels, cruise lines, and retail stores love “frequent flyers!” Now, on the other hand, if you’re a school principal or an ER employee, the term probably has a different connotation. Those “businesses” don’t like to see the same people over and over because it usually means that they have relapsed into “not so good” behaviors or become ill once again.
Have you ever wondered how God views you? Are you a “frequent flyer” when it comes to your church attendance? How about your prayer life? Would you be considered a “frequent Bible student?” Are you known for frequently helping those who are in need? Or, are you one of those, who consistently falls back into the world of sin? Have old friends, old habits, and poor choices influenced you to be like the “sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.” (II Peter 2:22) Do you frequently make excuses as to why you missed worship services? Do you constantly try to “straddle the fence” when it comes to being faithful? You know – that’s one thing that you either are or you’re not. You can’t be just a “little bit” faithful. It’s kinda like being pregnant – you either are or you’re not. You can’t be “a little pregnant” and you can’t be a “little faithful.” There’s really no “middle ground” when it comes to being a faithful member of the Lord’s church.
So, my question is to you – what kind of “frequent flyer” are you? God Bless, Courtney
God knows.
