I came across a quote from Zig Ziglar the other day that I’ve been “pondering” on. He said, “There are three Cs in life: choice, chance, and change. You must make a choice to take the chance or your life will never change.” Think about it.
God made us free-will agents. He made Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden – in paradise with only one restriction and that was not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. They didn’t have to work for their food. They weren’t starving. No, when Eve listened to the serpent and ate of the forbidden fruit, she made the choice. When she gave it to Adam, he didn’t have to eat it, but he made the choice, and they paid the consequences. We are all responsible for the choices that we make.
But sometimes, we get so content with the “same ole, same ole” that we’re not willing to take the chance to try something new. Would you like to teach a Bible class? Have you ever led a public prayer? Have you sat down across the kitchen table from someone and “opened the bread of life?” The only thing that you’ll be able to take with you to heaven is another soul. How many people do you come in contact with each day? Have you taken the chance to find out if they might be interested in studying God’s Word?
Who knows what you might be able to do if you just choose to take a chance? Your life can truly change. God Bless, Courtney
