I drive 30 minutes to work and back every day. In the mornings, I’m heading east and in the evenings, I’m heading west. Therefore, coming and going – I’m going towards the sun. This got me to thinking how we should all be going towards the Son, Jesus.
Are you headed in the right direction? Are you striving to live your life “in His steps?” (I Peter 2:21). If you’re not, thank goodness, God allows U-turns. Turn around before its everlastingly too late.
I also noticed that when you’re going towards the sun, the shadows are behind you. It’s the same when you’re heading towards the Son! Only true peace, comfort, and acceptance comes through Jesus. “If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31).
Last, but definitely not least, I realized that sunglasses help tremendously when you’re driving towards the sun. We all need help now and then – that’s what is so wonderful about our church family! They are there to “rejoice with those who rejoice; and mourn with those who mourn.” (Romans 12:15). I don’t know what I’d do without my church family! We are all helping each other go to heaven – how awesome is that!
I hope that you’re going towards the Son! God Bless, Courtney
Let the Son shine!!
