Be the “Sonshine”

Do you have a favorite saying that means something to you? I’ve got bunches! I love quotes! One day this week I heard someone say that their motto was, “If you can’t see the sunshine – be the sunshine.” I like that! Some people believe that the sun will “shine” and they will be happy if they make more money, get a new job, or “move up” in the neighborhood. Some folks rely on other people to make their sun shine and wait for it to shine their way, but you can’t control other people’s thoughts or actions. What happens when they’re not shining? Would that leave you in the dark? If so – then, you need to “be the sunshine!”

Of course, only true light comes from the “Son.” We know that “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1) “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14) Jesus is that Word, and when we “write on our hearts every Word,” we are filled with the “Sonshine.” We will be so full of kindness, love, and peace that it bubbles up within us and becomes apparent for all to see. Others will notice that there is something different about us. Are you glowing?

If you can’t see the sunshine – be the Sonshine! God Bless, Courtney
