My daughter Susan is an IT Event Coordinator for the company that raises money for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. When she first started flying everywhere, I asked for her to let me know which part of the country I needed to pray for that week. Now, she just sends me a picture of the view from her hotel room window. Now, I’ve seen palm trees in Miami, snow in Boston, and the Pacific Ocean in California. This particular picture is from Portland, Oregon – beautiful, isn’t it? Well, it is to me! When I pick up my phone and find that she’s “checked in” with me, it thrills my soul because I know that even though hundreds of miles may separate us, she’s thinking of me tonight.

Have you checked in with your Heavenly Father today? He cares about your ups and downs. He wants us to share our thoughts and our feelings. He wants us to lean on Him – to need Him. He has promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5). He will be there for us. Yes, He can see all and know all, yet He still wants us to have the kind of relationship where we WANT to share the ins and outs of our lives. Have you shared the view out your window today? God Bless, Courtney
