Are You A Quitter?

January 12th has been called by some, “Quitter’s Day.” It’s the day when motivation seems to waver, and most people give up on their New Year’s Resolutions. You start the year with the best of intentions – plans may include exercising five times a week, dieting, stop smoking, or even stop drinking sodas only to end up as “Oh yeah, I was going to do that, wasn’t I?” a few weeks later.

Did you make any spiritual resolutions this year? It’s not too late. Becoming more “Christ-like” doesn’t happen by accident. Do you plan to read the Bible through this year? It’s a great resolution. I can picture Judgment Day and folks standing before the Lord and Him saying, “I gave you My Word. Didn’t you even take the time to read it?” If you haven’t read the Bible through, I hope you will. How are you doing with your Scripture Writing Schedules? I pray that it’s become the “highlight” of your day. I love copying God’s Word. Did you make a resolution to pray more this year? How’s it going? Are you going to compliment someone every day? There’s no time like the present!

There is no time for “quitting” in the Lord’s Church. Jesus said, “Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” (Revelation 2:10b) We must keep on keeping on until we are called home. Don’t be a quitter! God Bless, Courtney
