Shame On Me!

Okay, Folks – I just had a “Shame on me” moment. Steve has spoiled me and usually does the laundry on Fridays when he is off. Well, he is down in his back this weekend, and he couldn’t pick the basket up and carry it into the utility room. So, this morning I was faced with the wonderful fun job of washing clothes. I’ve been at it all day, and I finally have the 5th and last load in the washer. I was just fussing in my mind about having to spend all day doing laundry, when I thought, “Shame on me – how wonderful is it that we have enough clothes to wear for a whole week without having to wash them!”

The Lord has blessed us with so much. We all have clothes in the closet and food in the freezer. We have houses that are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We don’t have to walk to town – we ride in comfort. Most of all, the Lord has blessed us with spiritual blessings. We have the avenue of prayer. We have His Word – the Bible. He has given us the church and made a way for us to become “His children.”

We are blessed with so many physical and spiritual blessings. May we not take these blessings for granted. Thank you, Lord! God Bless, Courtney
