Have you ever started something with the best of intentions, but then it gets out of hand and becomes “ugly” when you’re not looking? I guess I’m just naive, but I always think the best of people. I believe that folks are doing the best they can. I believe that open communication is a good thing. I care about how others feel and what they think, but sometimes I get reminded that everyone doesn’t look for the positive in others. I guess some folks like to complain. It just takes one person to get people stirred up. Isn’t that sad?
This reminds me of the children of Israel who had just crossed over the Red Sea on dry land. They had seen Pharoah’s army drown, and God was leading them to the Promised Land with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. They didn’t have to grow their own food, they just had to walk out of their tents and pick up manna, delivered to their doorstep, so to speak, by God. Yet, they weren’t content.
Are you a trouble maker or a peacemaker? In the sermon on the mount, Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:9) God Bless, Courtney
Ive learned over time theres always those that are going to be negative and try to rain on the parade. We have to open up that umbrella and redirect the water to make positive experience. Just remember that rain will make a rainbow!
