I think the “name of the game” this week is: Monitor and Adjust. With the world turned upside down with the COVID19 virus,” so many things have changed. Social distancing (which I never heard of before this month) has become the norm. I never thought about how many feet were supposed to be between me and someone else before. Only ten people should be in a room at a time – who knew? We stand in line to buy toilet paper, and we go through the drive through and eat in the car instead of going inside to eat. We have CLEAN hands (by the way, Happy Birthday is no longer one of my favorite songs!) and carry hand sanitizer with us at all times. You never know when you’ll need it! This pandemic has required us to think about many every day activities that must now be adjusted.
Some of us even adjusted the way that we worshiped this morning. It was definitely different listening to and watching “preaching” on the computer, but I was still able to sing, pray, and partake of the Lord’s Supper. How awesome that Christians were able to gather around the world in worship and praise. I didn’t feel isolated – I felt blessed. We live in such amazing times! God is so good!
I hope that you’re able to “monitor and adjust” this week. Just because things are different, it doesn’t mean that they are wrong. Try something different! May we be the “trees that bend in the wind and don’t break.” Monitor and adjust – you can do it! Simply blessed, Courtney
Someone commented the other day instead of singing Happy Birthday to sing the Amen song through 3 times! It helps me get my priorities straight!
Love it!
