Spending day after day “sheltering at home” can wear you down, can’t it? Without going to Bible class last night, I didn’t know what day it was today. (It’s Thursday, by the way!) I know that some of you have literally stayed in for days and days. I am in awe. Thank you. While there are many who aren’t taking this COVID19 virus seriously, I’m thankful for those who are willing to be inconvenienced for the good of others.
So, was today a “good day?” The difference between a good day and a bad day usually depends on our attitude. Every day that we wake up is a gift from God. You know, every day won’t be a “good day,” but you can find some good in every day. Maybe you’re a “morning person,” who rises early and sips coffee while watching the sun come up. Maybe you are more alert and can concentrate better after you’ve been up a few hours. You’re ready to tackle what needs to be done. Or perhaps, you “come alive” at night. I know of folks who only sleep a few hours a night – that’s . . . not me. I love my sleep! I don’t have my days and nights mixed up after being home so much, but I do like my pajamas a little too much!
Many of us are working from home now. Kids are out of school. Gas is below $1.50 a gallon (not that we can go anywhere!) Yes, things are different, but that doesn’t mean that they have to be bad. May you find good in every day and that, my friends, will help you to have a “good day!” Simply blessed, Courtney
