As Little Children. . .Love Life

Look at what I got! I got the best present in the mail. David, Dianne, and Aiden sent me an “I Love You” card with the “ps. Stay home! We need you to stay as healthy as possible!” in it. Isn’t that awesome! It made me so happy, but what really thrilled me is the “family portrait” that my Aiden (now 5 years old) drew. Yes, that’s PaPaw, Gammy, Daddy, Mommy, and Aiden (in green – his favorite color, of course.) PaPaw is the only one that doesn’t have the legs coming out of the head – hey, we’re improving! It’s a wonderful likeness, don’t you think?

Jesus told His disciples that they should be come as little children in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven, (Matthew 18:3) And one thing about children – they love life! They are creative. They love to use lots of bright colors. In their pictures, everyone is always smiling! Children tend to naturally look on the positive side. I’ll never forget the time that Aiden brought me a dandelion. Me, thinking that I was going to teach him something, said, “Well thank you – you know that’s really a weed.” He violently shook his head and said, “No, Gammy – it’s a wishing flower! You close your eyes, make a wish, and blow!” I’ve never look at a dandelion the same. Who knew how special they are?

Christians should be the happiest people on this earth. Not only do they have a spiritual family – the church, here on earth, they have the hope of living in eternity with our Father in heaven. As little children, we must look forward to tomorrow, for we know not what a day may bring. Simply blessed, Courtney
