Opinions are like noses! All God’s children have ‘em, but He didn’t ask me for mine and He didn’t ask you for yours. He created this world. He made man in His own image. He planned the scheme of redemption to make a way for us to go to heaven. God’s ways are not necessarily our ways. Ask Jonah who tried to run in the opposite direction from where God told him to go – he had a “ come to Jesus meeting” in the belly of a fish. Jesus had disciples who called His teachings “hard sayings.” (John 6:60). After He preached, “‘Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto Me, except it were given unto him of My Father.’ From that time many of His disciples went back and walked no more with Him.” (John 6:65-66). Following Christ wasn’t quite what they expected it to be.
Do you find that sometimes, it’s hard to follow God laws? We must be careful to “keep the whole law.” (James 2:10). We can’t pick and choose what we like and only obey those parts. You know, a broken clock is right twice a day, but that doesn’t mean that it’s telling the truth the rest of the time. We must “study to be approved unto God.” (II Timothy 2:15) We must “know the truth, and the truth shall make us free.” (John 8:32)
Thank you, Lord for loving us all of the time, and may we trust in Your promises and follow Thy Word. In Jesus name, Amen. We are, Simply blessed, Courtney
Very Good!!
There’s too many So called religious leaders who prefer “their way” over a God’s way however!
We must read the Word to find out God’s way.
