Well, I guess you could say that we’ve celebrated the 4th of July! We’ve eaten barbecue, seen family, eaten barbecue, watched Yankee Doodle Dandy, and did I mention – we ate barbecue? It’s been a wonderful holiday weekend, and it’s been HOT! and I mean HOT! It’s pretty much a perfect 4th of July. But, this year – it seems different somehow. Our country seems to be at a crossroads, and it’s up to us to decide what kind of America we’re going to leave for our children, grandchildren, and generations to come.
I truly believe that God will continue to bless America as long as America continues to bless God. We must elect men and women who are not afraid to declare their faith in our heavenly Father, are willing to use His Word to guide their actions, and pray for His guidance in making decisions and laws. Right is always right. No matter what “name” you put on it, if it goes against His Word, it is sin. Have you prayed for our elected officials lately? It doesn’t matter to which political party they belong, they are in need of our prayers. Do you complain about what is happening, but not vote? As citizens of this beautiful country, we must do our part – for to do nothing will have great consequences.
I’m honored to say: “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, and with liberty and justice for all.” I love this land of the free and home of the brave. Happy Birthday, America! Simply blessed, Courtney
