What A Day!

I’ve spent the past half hour or so scrolling through “First Day of School” pictures. They are wonderful! Children smiling, loaded down with lunch boxes and backpacks. Siblings actually acting like they like each other! Parents trying not to cry as they pose with that “senior,” who is now taller than they are. It’s a day of hope. It’s a day of anticipation to get to see friends that they haven’t seen in months. It’s a day of dreams.

This reminds me of how it will be when it comes a Christian’s time to leave this earth. Others will be crying, but we will be grinning from ear to ear as we anticipate that day that we’ve dreamed of our whole lives. It will be the day that we finally get to heaven (or paradise). It will be a day for reunions with loved ones who have gone before. It will be the day for which we have spent our lives preparing. What a day it will be! Simply Blessed, Courtney
