Have you counted your blessings lately? Today, I was reminded of the saying, “I once complained because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet.” That humbles me. How blessed I am! I have a wonderful family! I have a job that I love! I am blessed with clothes to wear, food to eat, and friends that I can count on. Those are all physical blessings.
But just think of our spiritual blessings! We have a God, Whom we call, “Father.” We have a Savior, Who was willing to leave the splendor of heaven, and come to earth to die on the cruel cross of Calvary to make a way for us to go to heaven. Jesus told us that He was “gone to prepare a place for us that where He is, there we may be also” (John 14:3). We have the honor and privilege of worshiping Him with other church members – what a blessing my church family is! We have the spiritual blessing of being able to read for ourselves the Word of God.” He has given us the Scriptures. If we fail to read them – that falls on us – not Him. I believe that one of our greatest spiritual blessings is the opportunity to approach our heavenly Father in prayer. We are told that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16). Prayer changes things. Are you tapping into the power of prayer?
My Friends, we are so blessed. As one meme said, “We often take for granted – things that others pray for.” Are you blessed? Do others believe that you are a blessing? I hope so, for we are all, simply blessed, Courtney
Definitely get reminded everyday that the Lord pulled me from the pits of hell and placed me on solid ground. Humble yourself before the Lord .. As I was reminded earlier ❤
Very good!
