Mistake? Who Me?

I had the sweetest email today from someone who apologetically let me know that I had made a mistake a couple of the writing schedules from last year. It made my day! Well, not the fact that I had mistakes in the writing schedules, but the fact that someone is following them, and she cared enough to let me know. It thrilled my soul! As you can imagine, creating the writing schedules is not exactly an easy task, but it is one of the most rewarding things that I have ever done. I hate it when mistakes are made, and I so appreciate it being brought to my attention.

How do you feel when you find out that you’ve made a mistake? Some people blame others for the mistake. “It’s not my fault!” Others blame circumstances, “Well, if it hadn’t have been raining . . .” But some people immediately “own it.” The way I see it – you might as well! How can you improve and do better, if you don’t acknowledge that you’ve made an error?

May we never be too proud to admit when we’re wrong. Simply blessed, Courtney
