That God of Ours

Have you ever felt like you have had all you can take? You know in your heart that the Lord won’t put on you more than you can take, yet, you sure wished He didn’t trust you so much! One of my new “favorite verses” is Isaiah 41:10. It is so comforting and encouraging. The Lord says, “Fear thou not for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

God knew that at times, we would be afraid – of the horrors of the past that we can’t forget, of the pain that we’re presently enduring, and of the “unknowns” of the future. But He wanted Isaiah and us to know that He is with us because He is OUR GOD. He is omnipresent – He can see everything. God is omnipotent – nothing is too hard for Him. He is omniscient – He knows everything, and He will always be there to strengthen us, help us, and hold us up when we’re too weak to stand on our own. Isn’t that a beautiful thought?

What an amazing God we have! Oh, how we are simply blessed! Courtney
