What Was I Thinking!

I don’t know about you, but there are times when I question my decisions. I mean it’s a – “What was I thinking when I . . .” kind of thing. It may be that you felt backed into a corner and the only way out was to walk away. Perhaps, you dug in your heels and put off making a decision for too long, and then you think, “I wish I’d done this months ago!” When things don’t go the way you expect or when you’re tempted to give up, we need to ask ourselves, “Why did we start this in the first place?”

Living the Christian life isn’t always easy. We are surrounded and live in the world, but we are to rise above earthly things and “Set our affection on things above, not on things on the earth” ( Colossians 3:2). We must remember not only “who” we are, but more importantly, “Whose” we are. May we pray as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane, “Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done” (Luke 22:42). For we know not what the future holds, but we know Who holds the future. When you feel backed into a corner – look up! Simply blessed, Courtney
