Are you one of those people who say, “Well. When the time is right, I’ll . . . You put off doing what needs to be done because you’re waiting on —-? I once heard it said, “If you wait for all your ducks to get in a row, you’ll never get across the street!” Isn’t that the truth! Are you guilty of procrastinating?
People may put off that wedding until the perfect day (when of course, it will rain!) or perhaps they’ll have children – one day. They plan on going back to school or getting that job – some day. Procrastination is actually being busy doing things you don’t need to do in order to avoid doing the things that you’re actually supposed to be doing! I know some people who put the “PRO” in procrastinate! The problem comes when you look back and realize all of the things that never got done. “I’ll start that diet on Monday – now I didn’t say which Monday!”
Waiting until that “perfect time” can cause you to lose your soul. When you come to the realization that you’re lost, and you study His Word and find out what you need to do to be saved, “that” is the perfect time for you to be baptized and wash away your sins calling on the name of the Lord” (Acts 22:16). “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation” (II Corinthians 6:2). Living the Christian life is such a wonderful blessing! What are you waiting for? Simply blessed, Courtney
