Audit Time

So today was the first day of our two day audit at work. What a joy! Since I’ve only been at the new job for 2-3 weeks, it was actually the perfect time for an audit because now I’ll know what questions that I need to ask in the future. And I know what is expected, so hopefully, next year I’ll be prepared to “have the books opened.”

This got me to thinking about how we’re all going to have the “book” opened one day. It will be a day of rejoicing for those whose “names are recorded in heaven” (Luke 10:20). But “if anyone’s name is not found written in the book of life, he will be thrown into the lake of fire” (Revelation 20:15). Truth be told, none of us are worthy or deserve a home in heaven, for we “have all sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). But due to the immense love of God, He “gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:15). So, when we stand before God’s throne on Judgment Day, instead of “having the book thrown at us,” Jesus will stand up and say, “I’ll take care of this one.”

So many live like this day will never come, but “it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment” (Hebrews 9:27) Are you ready? Simply Blessed, Courtney
