What Makes A Winner a Winner?

Have you noticed that some people seem to be “winners” while others, well – let’s just say, “they’re not.” What makes one person succeed while another doesn’t? Do winners do different things? Actually, I don’t believe they do. They don’t do different things – they just do things differently!

So many people do the same thing over and over again, expecting different results each time. They think, “Perhaps this time, I’ll get lucky!” But, our lives don’t get better by chance – they only gets better by CHANGE. So, what do you need to change? Do you need to change your environment? Do you spend too much time with negative people who try to coerce you into doing things that a Christian shouldn’t do? Do you need to change what you do in your spare time? I came to the realization that I was spending way too much time playing games on the computer. Now, there’s nothing wrong with playing games, but is that really the best way to spend my time? Maybe you need to change the way you dress – do you “dress for success?” Do you spend time “searching the scriptures daily” as the Bereans did in Acts 17:11? Do you plan the work and then, work the plan?

Friends, it’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s often who you think you’re not. Winners expect to win! “With God, all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Hang in there – you’ve got this! Simply blessed, Courtney
