Snow Day

Yay! In southeast Missouri – it’s a “SNOW DAY!” We’ve been impatiently waiting all year for it to snow. I have had the best morning, sitting in my pajamas, drinking coffee, and just watching it snow outside. We’ve got the light fluffy kind pouring down that is so beautiful to watch. It’s amazing just how clean and fresh it makes everything look. It gives the world a “new beginning” look.

Jesus does the same thing. Isaiah prophesied, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). No matter what we have done in the past, “if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with Another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (I John 1:7). Oh, how wonderful to have fellowship with God! Through Christ’s blood, we are saved for Paul wrote, “In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;” (Ephesians 1:7). The world has no power for like the Psalmist said, “the LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?” (Psalm 118:6).

I pray that you have “snow” much fun today! Count your blessings for we are all simply blessed, Courtney

  1. I remember Bro. David Scott used to lead the hymn “Though Your Sins Be As Scarlet” regularly many, many years ago. I still miss him and his incredible voice. He was always such a nice man and could sing tenor harmony like nobody’s business. I also remember “Whiter Than Snow”.

It’s a very unique and wonderous thing that the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ can wash us as white as snow.
